About Karen
Karen has been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor working in the field of mental health for over thirty years. She has experience working with young adults, adults, couples, and older adults. Karen has assisted clients having gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation concerns. Her expertise includes assisting clients who are working through depression, anxiety, panic attacks, complicated grief, trauma, stress reactions, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, women’s issues, work challenges, chronic illness, grief and loss, self-esteem, codependency, recovery issues, introversion, conflict resolution, and awakening consciousness.
Karen's personal healing journey into awakened consciousness led her to study the healing practices of many indigenous cultures, and the mind/body/spirit connection through meditation, yoga, creative movement, mystery schools, and connecting with nature.
As a mental health counselor and ordained non-denominational minister, she is qualified to integrate several modalities of traditional and alternative approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy,
interpersonal, psychodynamic, and psycho-spiritual therapy, mindfulness, meditation, EFT and EMDR.
She collaborates with clients on treatment plans tailored to their goals, offering options in traditional, holistic, and complementary/alternative methods of therapy. Karen supports clients through a present-oriented mindfulness approach, and provides practical feedback to help them effectively address personal life challenges. Her goal is to help clients attain the personal growth, awakening and evolving consciousness they are committed to in their healing journey.
